Vinification of Madeira wine Barbeito Sercial 2015 Curtimenta: After the experience in the 2014 harvest, in 2015 we vinified three lagares of Sercial, this time only with grapes from Seixal. After 11 days of fermentation and subsequent fortification, we extended the maceration until mid-December. When we racked the wines, there were still many berries left, which, after being separated, were placed inside the barrels. With the aim of gaining more concentration in a short period of time, the wines aged in our warehouse D, where the average temperatures are higher throughout the year. In February 2024, 1060 units of 500ml and 60 Magnum were bottled, all numbered.
