Produzione di vino Tinto Quinta de la Rosa 2020: è stato un anno secco, troppo caldo per l'Europa e lo stesso per il Portogallo. Gli incendi boschivi hanno devastato la campagna poiché tutto era asciutto. I vigneti piantati a bassa quota ed esposti a sud sono stati quelli che hanno sofferto di più, mentre i vigneti bianchi si trovano in quota e non sono stati colpiti. Le previsioni del tempo non davano pioggia: l'ultima volta che ha piovuto è stata nell'ultima settimana di giugno. Una settimana dopo, le temperature si sono abbassate e hanno favorito una maturazione fenolica più equilibrata, migliori aromi e una maggiore complessità di sapori. Le vecchie vigne d'alta quota, esposte a nord, data l'escursione termica e che normalmente vengono vendemmiate più tardi, hanno raggiunto un'ottima qualità. I livelli di alcol tendevano ad essere più alti e l'acidità più bassa del normale, senza però grandi segni di surmaturazione. È stato un anno in cui è stato possibile avere quasi tutte le varietà pronte per la raccolta nello stesso momento, il che ha comportato una sfida logistica e un aumento del volume di lavoro in entrambe le cantine. Ancora una volta, l'enologo Jorge Moreira era responsabile di valutare la maturazione ideale e definire il tempo di taglio.
