Vino proveniente da macerazione pellicolare, fermentato a una temperatura controllata (18-20ºC), che quando il mosto raggiunge il valore di dolcezza desiderato, la fermentazione viene interrotta dall'aggiunta di acquavite (77%), venendo successivamente invecchiato in legno di quercia nei magazzini di Vila Nova de Gaia fino a essere imbottigliato.
