Tal como la figura que lo inspira, Aeternus es un vino raro por su historia. Nace en la mejor viña plantada en los socalcos de la Quinta Nova de Nossa Senhora do Carmo, una viña centenaria de 2,5 hectáreas, produciendo 0,4 kg por planta, con exposición solar al suroeste y una densidad de plantación de alrededor de 6000 plantas por hectárea. Aeternus es un homenaje a una obra eterna, a un hombre que amaba la tierra, la familia, el trabajo. Américo Amorim fue un hombre con una intuición rara y única para el negocio, que inició su carrera profesional a los 18 años en la empresa familiar de corcho y nunca dejó de luchar por sus ideales, elevando el sector del corcho a la liderazgo mundial, creando a lo largo de seis décadas un grupo empresarial con un estatus grandioso en Portugal y en el Mundo.
