La gran mayoría de las uvas provienen del Valle del Río Pinhão; la Touriga Nacional y la Tinta Roriz soportan muy bien el calor registrado en verano. A estas se unieron uvas de otros valles del Duero, lo que se traduce en un clásico ensamblaje de la región. La fermentación ocurrió en una mezcla de cuba cerrada para garantizar la frescura y componente aromática, así como cuba abierta (lagar) para asegurar mayor complejidad y estructura.
