Viticultura: Un terroir único en el mundo, en medio del océano Atlántico, en la base de la montaña volcánica del Pico, las viñas están plantadas en las grietas de la roca, junto al mar, donde se escucha el “canto del cangrejo”, pues aquí hay más sol y calor. Una proximidad de, a veces, escasos metros que obliga a la protección de la viña por muros (corrales), de los vientos fuertes y salinos del Atlántico. Vinificación del Maçanita Terrantez do Pico Blanco: Vendimia manual selectiva en cestas de 20Kg, mayoritariamente de la isla del Pico y un pequeño porcentaje de São Miguel. Prensado de racimo entero, trasiego tras 12h. Primeras prensas fermentadas en cubas de acero inoxidable con control de temperatura para mantener la pureza de la variedad y segundas prensas fermentadas en barrica de 3º año (30%).
