Esta gran cosecha comenzó con una primavera complicada y un verano difícil, lleno de dudas pero con una determinación feroz de no rendirse y de escuchar al viñedo, y atento a sus necesidades. Luego, a partir del 25 de agosto, día tras día, llegó el buen tiempo y volvió la confianza. Por fin llegó octubre, dorado, cálido, magnífico. Esto permitió posponer unos días la vendimia de las cepas viejas de Merlot y esperar a que el Cabernet Franc alcanzara su plena madurez. En nariz es muy puro, elegante. El ataque es preciso y la estructura poco a poco se va haciendo más potente, consiguiendo un equilibrio muy refinado entre la magnífica calidad de la fruta y la elegancia del paladar. Taninos, carnoso, tensión y frescura. La presencia de un 50% de Cabernet-Franc en la mezcla resalta la elegancia de la estructura tánica y le da al vino un final muy refinado.
