Quinta dos Frades Grande Reserva Vinhas Centenárias TintoVinha antiga composta por 23 castas catalogadas, destacando-se a Touriga Franca, Tinta Amarela, Tinta da Barca, Tinta Carvalha, Tinta Francisca, Tinto Cão, Bastardo, Rufete e Donzelinho.Trata-se do rótulo de maior prestígio da propriedade, prestando tributo ao valioso património vitícola herdado. É elaborado unicamente a partir de uvas colhidas em talhões de vinhedos seculares, com pelo menos um século de história. Devido ao reduzido rendimento por cepa e à rigorosa triagem efetuada à chegada à adega, é necessária uma vasta extensão de hectares para obter o volume comercializado.Processo de Vinificação:A lavoura da terra é realizada com recurso a tração animal. A vindima é efetuada à mão, seguindo-se o desengace e a pisa a pé em lagares tradicionais de granito. A fermentação prolonga-se por um período de 6 a 10 dias, sob controlo térmico e com uma extração delicada.Estágio: 12 meses em barricas novas de carvalho francês, com tosta ligeira. Mínimo de 12 meses de estágio em garrafa.
