Morgado de Sta. Catherina is a reference for Arinto wines from the Bucelas region, carrying the centuries-old heritage of the region's great white wines. The history of Morgado de Santa Catherina, which included Quinta da Romeira, dates back to 1703, the year in which it was established, fulfilling the intentions of D. Catarina de Bragança, queen consort of England. Wine comes from Arinto grapes, from the Quinta da Romeira vineyards, with manual harvesting. The musts fermented in stainless steel tanks and French oak barrels. The percentages were conveniently adjusted, in order to allow the wood to be well integrated, without compromising the freshness, aromas and flavors characteristic of Arinto. During the 8 months of aging in French oak barrels, the integration of the wine with wood, using battonage. After this period, the final batch was executed, aging in stainless steel tanks until bottling.
Citrine yellow with a slight golden hue
Very wide mouth, with volume, in perfect balance with Atlantic acidity. It remains aromatic in the mouth, framed by the barrel aging. Its ending is persistent.
