On the banks of the Minho River lies the iconic sub-region of Monção and Melgaço, where the emblematic grape variety of the same name, Alvarinho, predominates. This wine is born in hillside vineyards, with southwest exposure and granite soils. This terroir is characterized by a temperate Atlantic climate, with high levels of rainfall in winter and spring, and during the ripening phase, large temperature swings allow the grapes to achieve slow and balanced ripening with vibrant and mineral acidity. The goal of the winemaking was to respect the grapes as much as possible throughout the entire vinification process, minimizing cellar intervention to maximize the expression of the terroir and particularly of the vineyard. 6690 bottles of Landcraft Alvarinho White 2021 wine were produced.
