Beauséjour Duffau Red Castle 2010
- Inventory on the way
Description
The Château Beauséjour Duffau‑Lagarrosse 2010 is a Saint‑Émilion Grand Cru Classé B of great renown, widely recognized as a milestone in the estate's development under the guidance of Nicolas Thienpont and Stéphane Derenoncourt, following the decisive turning point begun in 2009. While the grape varieties are Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon, the wine reaches 15% alcohol content (the highest ever recorded at the estate), yet it preserves a surprising acidity and freshness that balance its density and concentration. Robert Parker awarded it 100 points, highlighting aromas of black raspberry jam, graphite, flowers, and a smoky nuance, with a voluptuous attack, monumental structure, and exceptional persistence; according to him, the wine should reach its peak between 2025 and 2055 or beyond. Considered by many critics as the best from the estate since the emblematic 1990, it is one of the most admired and long-lasting labels of Bordeaux 2010.
