Deixado a repousar sobre as borras finas, a battonage é feita a cada 15 dias durante as primeiras 12 semanas dos 9 meses de estágio em barrica e antes do seu engarrafamento aos 10 meses, contribuindo para se obter um vinho redondo e volumoso.Este Verdelho melhorará com tempo em garrafa, provavelmente durante os próximos 10 anos.
