El Ron Prohibido Habanero est un rhum mexicain de blend qui subit un processus de vieillissement de 15 ans, utilisant le système Solera dans des fûts ayant précédemment contenu du xérès. Cette méthode confère au rhum une saveur singulière, qui combine des notes sucrées et épicées caractéristiques du xérès, ainsi que des touches de raisin et de mélasse. Le résultat est un rhum sucré, mais avec des nuances amères bien définies. L'expression "El Ron Prohibido" traduite en slovaque signifie "rhum interdit" ou "rhum illégal". La distillation suit une méthode traditionnelle et ancestrale du Mexique, utilisant de la canne à sucre comme matière première.
