2015 was a blessed, dreamy year, with favorable weather conditions from spring to harvest. Each stage took place under optimal conditions: uniform flowering, then the rain necessary for the plant's development before a very dry June and July. The painter ran perfectly. The grapes began to mature very early. The month of August, with its timely rains and mild temperatures, allowed the vines to develop well and the grapes to ripen harmoniously. The cool days and nights of September, accompanied by some showers, helped to ripen the tannins. The grapes were simply magnificent, a rare and sublime moment. The perfect health of the vineyard and the climatic conditions They allowed us to harvest the grapes on site for almost a month! The Angélus Merlots were harvested from September 22nd, ripe but not overripe, crispy, fruity and very fresh. 2015 is an excellent harvest in Angélus. Excellent for its subtle balance between power and refinement: intense aromas of ripe and crunchy fruit, a soft and direct attack, firm and velvety tannins and great purity. We find the charm of a solar harvest, with a touch of extravagant, baroque classicism, one could say, in harmony with the elegance and breed provided by the freshness and tension of the persistent finish.
