With the HONORE project, which celebrates the 400 years of history of Quinta do Crasto, tribute is paid to the men and women who, over the centuries, invested in the cultivation of the vine and the creation of genuine and unique wines, long recognized among the best in the world. For the first time and to celebrate the centenary of the acquisition of Quinta do Crasto by Constantino de Almeida, a unique batch was prepared. From the excellent 2015 harvest, the year in which the Quinta completed its fourth centenary (1615-2015), the HONORE Douro DOC is born, a unique wine that combines the two most emblematic vineyards of Quinta do Crasto. This exceptional blend is composed of 71.2% wine from Vinha Maria Teresa 2015 and 28.8% from Vinha da Ponte 2015. After 20 months of aging in oak barrels, only 1615 numbered Magnum bottles were produced in homage to the four centuries of history of Quinta do Crasto, thus joining its launch to the celebration of the centenary of the purchase and re-foundation of Quinta do Crasto by Constantino de Almeida (1918-2018).

On the palate, it presents a very elegant but intense start. A wine of excellent volume, compact structure composed of tannins with an elegant texture and very well integrated with retro-nasal notes of wild fruits from Douro. It finishes fresh and very persistent.
