Nach einem verheißungsvollen Start mit einem sehr frühen Knospenaustrieb wurde die Ernte Ende April durch Frost unterbrochen, der die Bordeaux-Weinberge hart traf. In Angélus hatten wir das Glück, von der Natur gesegnet zu sein und von dieser dunklen Episode kaum betroffen zu sein. und wir haben in dem kleinen betroffenen Gebiet eine sehr wichtige Auswahlarbeit durchgeführt. Der Rest verlief wunderbar mit einer hervorragenden Blüte, gefolgt von einem sehr heißen Juni, der den Reben einen hervorragenden Ertrag bescherte. Der kühle, aber trockene Sommer ermöglichte eine langsame und gleichmäßige Reifung der Trauben und sorgte so für die Leuchtkraft der Früchte. Das Ende des Sommers war etwas feucht, aber die Trauben waren reif und wir beschlossen, so früh wie möglich, am 13. September, mit der Ernte zu beginnen! Die Weine haben eine intensive Farbe und verführen sofort mit ihren umwerfenden Aromen von Frucht und Reinheit. Am Gaumen sind die Tannine fest und seidig, präzise und ausgewogen, mit einem frischen Körper, der Energie und Eleganz verleiht. 2017 in Angélus ist eine Ernte voller Harmonie und Brillanz.
