Fruto da conjugação de uvas mais maduras do que o normal e da persistência humana que arrisca mais do que deveria, nasce este vinho Colheita Tardia. Surgiu de uma ideia de fazer um vinho doce não fortificado, nada usual no Douro, mais ainda porque é um tinto! Foi vindimado bem entrado novembro, devido a um outono seco e ensolarado, que permitiu às uvas ganhar açúcar extra mantendo um perfeito estado sanitário. O resultado foi um vinho tinto doce, com grande concentração de açúcar, o qual não foi todo fermentado, tendo permanecido no vinho final. É um dos poucos, se não ó único, colheita tardia TINTO do Douro. As uvas são pisadas a pé em pequenos lagares de inox. Seguidamente são prensados e o mosto fermenta em pequenas cubas de inox, parando a fermentação de uma forma natural com o frio de Inverno.

Boca doce, com muito corpo, mas contrabalançado por uma refrescante acidez. Mostra enorme intensidade de fruta, como ginja e amora madura. Muito puro e preciso. Final longo e balsâmico, quase interminável.
