Un fulvo scuro con mogano al centro. Un po' di rancidità umida, ma la tipica ossidazione di Madeira mostra prugne cotte e un tocco di nocciola. Al palato è abbastanza corposo e molto ricco, con un'abbondanza di frutta dolce e ricca, prugne, datteri e prugne d'Agen. C'è anche un pizzico di scorza di limone e un po' di bontà alla cannella. L'acidità qui è sottile, con pompelmo e limone, ma è molto ben integrata in un vino armonioso, con un finale di arancia molto lungo e speziato.
