Carnoso, paffuto e già sensuale, il prugna scuro/viola Petrus 2003 è eccezionalmente maturo e ricco. Sebbene non sia esotico come il suo rivale, Lafleur, è ricco, inebriante e carico. Un tour de force in viticoltura per Pomerol, vendica la decisione di Christian Moueix di raccogliere quasi tutto il suo Merlot il 3 e 4 settembre, e il Cabernet Franc il 17 settembre. Tuttavia, la produzione è piccola... meno di 1.700 casse. Corposo, potente ed eccezionalmente puro senza perdere la sua nobiltà ed eleganza, questo straordinario Petrus può essere consumato entro 2-3 anni o conservato in cantina per tre decenni.
