Questo vino è il risultato di una rigorosa selezione di uve delle varietà Tinta Roriz, Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca e Tinta Barroca. Ha un colore rosso intenso. Predominano gli aromi di frutta matura, spezie, balsamico e altri aromi terziari. La complessità aromatica di questo vino è arricchita anche dalla sua maturazione in legno nobile di rovere francese e in bottiglia. Corposo e con un finale lungo, elegante e armonioso, ha una longevità maggiore del normale per i vini Douro di questa vendemmia. Deve essere decantato.
