Di colore granato intenso, lo Chateau Petrus 2010 si apre un po', con morbide pietre frantumate, padella in ghisa e sentori di terra profumata che lasciano il posto a un nucleo di confettura di prugne, mirtilli cotti, liquirizia e torta della Foresta Nera oltre a biscotti di matite, gariga e viole. Corposo, al palato è meravigliosamente equilibrato con una linea decisa di tannini squisitamente maturi e a grana fine e una fantastica freschezza che rafforza il frutto generoso, con un finale molto lungo e molto, molto elegante. Si consiglia ai collezionisti abbastanza fortunati da avere qualche bottiglia di questa annata di essere pazienti e attendere altri 7-10 anni per rilassarsi ed emergere gloriosamente da questa struttura solida come una roccia.
