Nonostante la proprietà sia pienamente impegnata nella conversione all'agricoltura biologica, il lavoro dei viticoltori si è rivelato difficile fino a metà luglio a causa delle condizioni meteorologiche. La loro presenza, tenacia, rigore e osservazione quotidiana hanno permesso loro di superare con successo queste difficoltà. Dal 15 luglio hanno prevalso condizioni anticicloniche eccezionali fino alla fine della vendemmia, risultando in una vendemmia normale in termini di quantità e soprattutto magnifica in termini di qualità. Un Merlot magnificamente fresco, una selezione di Cabernet Franc molto invecchiati su terreni argillosi-calcarei e l'estrazione delicata rendono questa una grande annata per Château Angélus. Un colore profondo, una perfetta purezza aromatica unita a note di frutti neri che incantano il naso. Al palato, una leggera dolcezza lascia il posto ad un'elegante tensione e a tannini raffinati e vellutati. L'alcol (meno che nel 2010) e il legno sono perfettamente integrati. Il retrogusto è persistente, guidato dall'eleganza del Cabernet Franc e dalla purezza scandita da delicate note di spezie. Per celebrare questi momenti in cui la natura percorre percorsi sorprendenti, in cui il tempo lineare si apre a quello, caro al mito, dell'eterno ritorno. Eterno ritorno, che tutte le bottiglie di questa memorabile vendemmia portavano impressa la figura del leggendario uccello dell'eternità.
