Tra le grandi denominazioni di Bordeaux, la regione del Médoc è anche, non sempre lo sappiamo, terra d'elezione di ottimi vini bianchi. Dal vigneto dello Château Mouton Rothschild, di cui alcuni ettari gli sono stati riservati, l'Aile d'Argent ne è una prova impressionante. La raccolta in cassette, la fermentazione in botti di rovere nuove, l'imbottigliamento all'interno della proprietà, contribuiscono alla produzione di un vino bianco di grande qualità, degno della ricchezza e della finezza del suo glorioso “padrino”. Ho scelto per questo vino, su cui tante buone fate si affidano, un nome che evoca il ricordo di mio padre Barone Philippe de Rothschild. Tanto tempo fa, infatti, aveva immaginato per me, notte dopo notte, una storia che avrebbe commosso la mia infanzia. A questo racconto poetico, scritto nelle ore buie della guerra e pubblicato in seguito, diede il titolo Aile d'Argent. Volevo che questo titolo, che un tempo mi faceva sognare, prendesse forma e colore anche per te. La magia delle parole diventa la magia del vino.
