Distillato nella rinomata Distilleria Macallan, a Speyside, in Scozia, questo leggendario Single Malt passa attraverso un processo di tripla invecchiamento in una composizione unica e complessa di botti di rovere eccezionali. Vengono utilizzate botti di rovere europeo stagionate con sherry, botti di rovere americano stagionate con sherry e botti di rovere americano stagionate con bourbon. Questa tripla combinazione di botti dà origine a un single malt straordinariamente morbido, delicato e complesso, invecchiato nella Distilleria Macallan per almeno dodici anni.
