Situata nel cuore della sottoregione Cima-Corgo e bagnata per 1,5 km dalle acque della riva sinistra del fiume Douro, Quinta das Tecedeiras deve il suo nome alle monache che vi abitavano e si dedicavano alla tessitura del lino che nel in passato vi veniva coltivato. I terreni sono scistosi e l'esposizione è nord-est, con i vigneti tra i 90 ei 190 metri di altitudine. Le uve maturano bene e con una grande concentrazione di aromi e sapori senza perdere la loro freschezza. Quando i vigneti sono stati riconvertiti, si è avuto cura di lasciare alcuni appezzamenti di vecchie vigne, le cui uve sono accuratamente incluse nelle partite di tutti i vini rossi DOC o Porto das Tecedeiras.
Rosso rubino di buona intensità
In bocca rivela già una struttura molto equilibrata, con tannini morbidi che regalano un finale lungo e aromatico. Gastronomico
Il profumo rivela l'eleganza e l'intensità caratteristiche di questo vino. Spiccano gli aromi di frutti rossi di bosco, note floreali e spezie che aggiungono complessità. Il legno è molto ben integrato
