Il Whisky Nikka Coffey Grain è un whisky single grain originale, principalmente distillato da mais, in un alambicco Coffey. Diventa ancora più unico nel senso che è composto principalmente da mais, come un tempo, mentre la maggior parte dei whisky moderni deriva dal grano. Il mais conferisce al whisky una texture ricca e arrotondata, e aromi intensi. Questo grain whisky è oggi un componente essenziale dei blend Nikka. Il processo di distillazione è continuo, mentre negli alambicchi utilizzati per la produzione di Single Malts sono necessarie due distillazioni separate. Nikka possiede due alambicchi Coffey nella sua distilleria Miyagikyo per la produzione dei suoi grain whiskies. Importati dalla Scozia nel 1963, questi alambicchi antichi producono distillati molto rotondi, con un carattere distintivo che definisce i blend di firma Nikka.

Bello dorato
Succulento e piacevole, ciò che promette al naso si trova al palato. Frutta matura intensa con note di rum, banana e caramello. La complessità si sviluppa nelle note di liquirizia e anice stellato. Con il tempo sviluppa aromi di pera matura e il finale in bocca risulta in una combinazione agrodolce con la bourbon-vaniglia che conferisce una leggera acidità.
Fresco e seducente, rivela pera matura, ciliegia e aromi di frutti esotici. Note agrumate di pompelmo e limone emergono, cedendo lentamente il posto agli aromi floreali più sottili. Dopo aver respirato, emergono gli aromi di pasticceria, cocco e bourbon-vaniglia, con note di menta sottostanti e un pizzico di muschio.
