Il Single Barrel 100 Proof di Jack Daniel's è scuro, ricco di ambra scura con riflessi ramati. Gli odori del whisky sono profondi e pronunciati. Il legno è naturalmente molto presente senza essere invadente, assumendo volentieri note più dolci di salsa al caramello e leggermente amaro del caffè appena tostato. L'attacco è potente, come è normale per un bourbon al 50%, ma presto si sviluppano aromi caldi di pepe nero, tabacco da fiuto biondo e vaniglia bourbon in un balletto elegante. Il finale è lungo e profondo, di agrumi e caramello.
