La Cantina José de Sousa Rosado Fernandes esiste dal 1878 ed è stata acquisita da José Maria da Fonseca nel 1986 per realizzare il vecchio sogno di produrre vino nell'Alentejo, in una proprietà ricca di prestigio e storia. Situata a Reguengos de Monsaraz, è qui che si mantiene viva una tradizione iniziata dai Romani più di 2000 anni fa. La cantina José de Sousa possiede 114 anfore di terracotta, dove si realizza un metodo di fermentazione ancestrale.
