Offrendo puri frutti di amarena e ribes nero, il rubino/viola di Chateau Petrus 2005 è ancora molto giovane e incrollabile, ma super concentrato, potente, corposo e primordiale. È molto più retrogrado di Lafleur, Trotanoy o Osanna. Eppure è super ricco, estratto, meravigliosamente equilibrato e puro. Dimenticatelo per altri 10-15 anni e bevetelo per il prossimo mezzo secolo. Potrebbe essere uno dei vini più longevi del 2005
