Con le uve delle varietà più tipiche dell'Alentejo, prodotte nella sottoregione di Borba, è stato prodotto il vino Rótulo Cortiça, un vero ex-libris di Adega de Borba. Provenienti da vecchie vigne, le uve hanno avuto uno stretto controllo sull'evoluzione della maturazione, essendo state raccolte in piccole quantità. In cantina, dopo la diraspatura e la pigiatura soffice delle uve, è iniziata la fermentazione alcolica che è durata circa 10-15 giorni con la temperatura controllata a 24ºC, per una maggiore estrazione degli aromi e dei sapori fruttati dell'uva. Per aumentare la complessità polifenolica, i tannini e la struttura del vino, il vino è rimasto in tino in un processo di macerazione post-fermentativa, successivamente ha avuto luogo la fermentazione malolattica in contenitori di acciaio inox. Per esaltare ed esaltare le sue caratteristiche organolettiche, il vino è affinato per 12 mesi in botti di 3° e 4° anno, di rovere francese e in botti di legni esotici, dopodiché è stato affinato per 6 mesi in bottiglia in cantina. .
Rubino definito con sfumature rosse
Sapore morbido, con leggera astringenza, equilibrato, con una nota fruttata matura, con tannini morbidi ma strutturati, ed un'eleganza nel finale di gusto.
