Description
O Pago de los Capellanes El Nogal Red 2020 is an excellent wine from the D.O. Ribera del Duero, made exclusively from the Tempranillo grape. The grapes come from the El Nogal plot, a 6-hectare vineyard located in Mambrilla de Castrejón, at an altitude of 850 meters, with sandy-loam and stony soils of low fertility. After meticulous vinification, the wine ages for 22 months in new French oak barrels with extra fine grain and medium toast. It presents an intense ruby red color and expressive aromas of ripe black fruits, such as blackberries and plums, intertwined with subtle notes of spices. On the palate, it reveals itself to be full-bodied and slightly mature, with a enveloping texture and a long, persistent finish.
