Famosa per il suo vino di Porto dal 1751, Ferreira si dedica anche alla selezione e all'invecchiamento di liquori di vino di alta qualità. È nelle nostre cantine di Vila Nova de Gaia che i distillati vengono scelti con cura e invecchiati in botti di rovere da 270 litri. Per ottenere la massima qualità, periodicamente vengono effettuate degustazioni e vengono introdotte più lotti di età e caratteristiche diverse. Dopo aver scelto il lotto finale, il brandy viene posto in botti da 640 litri, dove invecchia.L'Aguardente Velha Chancella è ottenuto da brandy selezionati (liquore ottenuto attraverso la distillazione di vini bianchi) provenienti da lotti di alta qualità. È un distillato naturale senza additivi e invecchiato per alcuni anni in botti di rovere portoghese nelle cantine Ferreira.
