I vini utilizzati per produrre il Fonseca LBV sono scelti tra i migliori e più corposi vini di Porto rossi prodotti nella vendemmia del 2016, provenienti dai vigneti di Fonseca e da altre tenute rinomate situate nelle zone del Cima Corgo e Douro Superior. Questi vini maturano in grandi botti di legno (di circa 27.500 litri di capacità) e vengono imbottigliati dopo quattro-sei anni. È stata prodotta solo una quantità limitata di questo favoloso vino.

Nucleo viola profondo con bordo rosso
Al palato, spezie, more selvatiche, tè Assam con le sue note di cioccolato fondente, cacao e un tocco erbaceo seducente. Presenta un'eccellente tensione, concentrazione di bacche nere selvatiche, tannini setosi e un finale fresco e brillante, con un lunghissimo e generoso retrogusto.
Naso ricco, seducente e molto profumato. Note di mora, prugna e lampone selvatici e liquirizia, presenta una meravigliosa tensione. Le more conferiscono uno strato aggiuntivo di frutta morbida e carnosa, miscela di lampone e ribes, con un tocco di dolcezza floreale.
