Il Vino São João 98 Anni di Storia Branco è stato creato con intervento minimo, in modo da rispettare il potenziale qualitativo delle eccezionali uve che lo hanno originato, nonché rispettando il classicismo dei vini bianchi del Dão e quelli delle Caves São João, in particolare. Per questo, il suo affinamento sulle fecce fini è avvenuto in recipienti di legno, già a lungo utilizzati per il vino, per un periodo di 6 mesi, ed è stato imbottigliato senza stabilizzazione, dopo una filtrazione molto grossolana.

Possiede grande freschezza e volume gustativo, essendo tuttavia anche elegante e piuttosto persistente, caratteristiche che gli conferiscono eccellente attitudine gastronomica e per l'invecchiamento.
Molto complesso, con evidenti note minerali (selce e pietra focaia), fosforo, spezie, vegetale secco e molto tenui accenni fruttati e di fiori secchi. Le note di legno sono perfettamente integrate, risultando praticamente impercettibili.
