Kikusui Sake Co., Ltd. è stata fondata nel 1956 ed è una distilleria con una ricca tradizione nella produzione di sake. Con sede a Kuroshio, nella provincia di Kochi, l'azienda ha ampliato la sua produzione per includere rum, applicando la sua esperienza nella fermentazione e distillazione. Il nome "Ryoma" è un omaggio a Sakamoto Ryoma, un famoso samurai e riformista del periodo Edo in Giappone.
