Come la figura che lo ispira, Aeternus è un vino raro per la sua storia. Nasce nella migliore vigna piantata sui terrazzamenti della Quinta Nova de Nossa Senhora do Carmo, una vigna centenaria di 2,5 ettari, producendo 0,4 kg per pianta, con esposizione solare a sud-ovest e una densità di piantagione di circa 6000 piante per ettaro. Aeternus è un omaggio a un'opera eterna, a un uomo che amava la terra, la famiglia, il lavoro. Américo Amorim è stato un uomo con un'intuizione rara e unica per gli affari, che ha iniziato la sua carriera professionale a 18 anni nell'azienda familiare del sughero e non ha mai smesso di lottare per i suoi ideali, elevando il settore del sughero alla leadership mondiale, creando nel corso di sei decenni un gruppo imprenditoriale con uno status grandioso in Portogallo e nel mondo.
