Akashi Single Malt 5 Anni Red Wine Cask è un whisky prodotto dalla distilleria Eigashima - White Oak, situata nel sud del Giappone, sulle rive del Mare Interno di Seto. Per questa edizione limitata, il Chef Blender della Casa ha selezionato con cura alcuni single malt invecchiati per 4 anni e mezzo in botti di Cognac, trasferendoli poi in botti di vino rosso francese per una maturazione di 10 mesi. Akashi Single Malt 5 Anni Red Wine Cask è imbottigliato senza colorazione e senza filtrazione a freddo, con una gradazione alcolica del 50%. Relativamente sconosciuta, la distilleria White Oak fa tuttavia parte della storia del whisky giapponese, essendo la prima distilleria in Giappone a ottenere una licenza di distillazione nel 1888. Tuttavia, fu solo nel 1919 che iniziò la produzione intermittente di distillati di malto, e nel 1984 fu stabilita una nuova struttura interamente dedicata alla produzione di whisky nel sito di Eigashima.
