La stragrande maggioranza delle uve proviene dalla Valle del Rio Pinhão; Touriga Nacional e Tinta Roriz resistono molto bene al caldo estivo. A queste si sono aggiunte uve di altre valli del Douro, il che si traduce in un classico blend della regione. La fermentazione è avvenuta in una combinazione di vasca chiusa per garantire freschezza e componente aromatica, nonché vasca aperta (lagar) per assicurare maggiore complessità e struttura.
