Fundada em 1798 por Claude Jacquesson, a casa pode orgulhar-se de ter sido um dos champanhes preferidos de Napoleão I. Adolphe Jacquesson foi o responsável pela importante invenção do arame para substituir a corda e da placa metálica para evitar que o arame se afunde na cortiça. Com a compra de Jacquesson em 1974 por Jean Chiquet, viticultor e corretor, a empresa manteve-se na família.
