Produzione del Vino Quinta de la Rosa Tinto: È stato un anno secco, troppo caldo per l'Europa e lo stesso per il Portogallo. Incendi boschivi hanno devastato la campagna, poiché tutto era secco. Le vigne piantate a bassa altitudine e con esposizione a Sud sono state quelle che hanno sofferto di più, mentre le vigne di bianco, essendo situate in altitudine, non sono state colpite. Le previsioni meteorologiche non indicavano pioggia - l'ultima volta che aveva piovuto era stata l'ultima settimana di giugno. Una settimana dopo, le temperature sono scese e hanno favorito una maturazione fenolica più equilibrata, migliori aromi e maggiore complessità di sapori. Le vigne vecchie di altitudine con esposizione a nord, data l'escursione termica e che normalmente si raccolgono più tardi, hanno raggiunto un'eccellente qualità. I livelli di alcol tendevano a essere più alti e l'acidità più bassa del normale, senza però evidenze significative di sovramaturazione. È stato un anno in cui si è potuto avere quasi tutte le varietà pronte per la raccolta nello stesso periodo, il che ha comportato una sfida logistica e un aumento del volume di lavoro nelle due Cantine. Ancora una volta l'enologo Jorge Moreira ha avuto cura della valutazione delle maturazioni ideali e della definizione del tempo di raccolta.
