La Quinta dos Bons Ares si trova nel Douro Superiore, nel comune di Vila Nova de Foz Côa, in un terroir molto specifico, dove il suolo granitico e la sua altitudine conferiscono alle uve un'acidità e un potenziale aromatico poco comuni in questa regione. Oltre a queste caratteristiche, un'altra particolarità di questo vino è il blend tra il Nuovo e il Vecchio Mondo, tra i vitigni tradizionali (Touriga-Nacional e Touriga-Franca) e quelli internazionali come il Cabernet Sauvignon, e tra le vasche in granito e i robot in acciaio inox. La Casa Ramos Pinto ha in questo vino un esempio di tradizione innovativa. Un classico moderno.
