I nostri Porto Vintage sono prodotti dalla Natura. Quando pensiamo alla natura, pensiamo a tutti i modi in cui abbaglia i nostri sensi. La natura è vivente, mobile e riproduttiva. La nostra natura è creare vini che mostrino la vita e l'anima di un luogo e di un vino. Intendiamo vederlo vivo in bottiglia. L’idea di imbottigliare ciò che la natura ha creato è ciò che rende la vinificazione così emozionante.
Questa speciale edizione del 400° anniversario è una celebrazione del lavoro della nostra famiglia con i vini del Douro da 400 anni, ma anche del Porto Vintage e della grandezza dei vini che la Valle del Douro può creare. Van Zellers & Co Vintage Porto è prodotto con i migliori vitigni autoctoni dei nostri vecchi vigneti. Tutte le uve vengono pigiate con i piedi e fermentate in lagares di pietra di granito. Matura in grandi tini di legno molto vecchio per 18-24 mesi prima dell'imbottigliamento senza chiarifica né filtrazione, nella data indicata in etichetta. Il risultato è un vino rosso scuro, corposo e di grande struttura, con aromi di frutti rossi molto intensi. Invecchierà per molti anni. Poiché il Porto è un vino naturale, depositerà dei sedimenti nella bottiglia dopo un certo invecchiamento. Va quindi decantato accuratamente prima di servire a 16°C e accompagnato con dolci al cioccolato o formaggio stilton.
