O Incógnito è nato dallo spirito innovativo e inquieto di Carrie e Hans Jorgensen. A Cortes de Cima il lotto 9C è la prima vigna del vitigno Syrah piantata in Alentejo. Quando nel 1991 Hans Jorgensen piantò le viti con innesti provenienti direttamente dalla Rodano, in un'area di terreno calcareo sulla cima di una collina, non immaginava che la vigna avrebbe prodotto un vino che avrebbe segnato la regione e i vini dell'Alentejo. Questo vino è stato prodotto esclusivamente dal vitigno Syrah. Le uve sono state rigorosamente selezionate in quanto erano in uno stato ottimale di maturazione. Sono state fermentate senza diraspatura, a temperature controllate, con regolari delestage, con un lungo periodo di macerazione delle bucce per migliorare l'aroma di frutti e ottenere un buon equilibrio e struttura dei tannini. Invecchiato per 8 mesi in barrique di rovere francese (90%) e rovere americano (10%) fino al momento dell'imbottigliamento.
