Di colore granato-viola intenso, Petrus 2017 esce galoppando dal bicchiere con nozioni audaci ed espressive di torta della Foresta Nera, confettura di mirtilli e budino natalizio, con sfumature di cioccolato fuso, cinque spezie cinesi, viole cristallizzate, liquirizia e kirsch, in aggiunta alle rose e ai bastoncini di cannella. Corposo, ricco, speziato e straordinariamente concentrato, al palato ha un'attraente freschezza e una solida base di tannini meravigliosamente maturi e vellutati, con un finale molto lungo e opulento. Gli aromi, in questa fase della giovinezza, sono atipici per Petrus e piuttosto impressionanti: questo 2017 è una bomba! Inoltre, si tratta di uno stile unico per questa proprietà e un appassionato collezionista deve cercarlo!ha.
