Le uve provenienti da Vinhas Velhas sono state trasportate in casse da 22 kg di capacità e sottoposte a un rigoroso controllo in tavolo di selezione all'ingresso della cantina. Dopo una diraspatura totale e una leggera pigiatura, il mosto è stato trasferito in vasche di fermentazione in acciaio inox con temperatura controllata. Al termine della fermentazione alcolica, si è proceduto a una pressatura delicata. Quinta do Crasto Reserva Vinhas Velhas ha affinato in botti di rovere francese (85%) e rovere americano (15%), dove è rimasta per circa 18 mesi.

In bocca si presenta elegante all'inizio, evolvendo in un vino di grande solidità, composto da tannini dalla texture vellutata. Avvolgente, termina equilibrato, fresco e molto persistente.
