Producción de Vino Tinto Quinta de la Rosa 2020: Fue un año seco, demasiado caluroso para Europa y lo mismo para Portugal. Los incendios forestales asolaron el campo porque todo estaba seco. Los viñedos plantados a baja altura y con exposición sur fueron los que más sufrieron, siendo los viñedos blancos situados en altitud y no viéndose afectados. Las previsiones meteorológicas no indicaban lluvias; la última vez que llovió fue la última semana de junio. Una semana después, las temperaturas bajaron y propiciaron una maduración fenólica más equilibrada, mejores aromas y mayor complejidad de sabores. Las viñas viejas de altura con exposición al norte, dada la amplitud térmica y que normalmente se cosechan más tarde, alcanzaron una excelente calidad. Los niveles de alcohol tendieron a ser más altos y la acidez más baja de lo normal, sin embargo, sin grandes evidencias de sobremaduración. Fue un año en el que se logró tener casi todas las variedades listas para cosechar al mismo tiempo, lo que generó un desafío logístico y un aumento en el volumen de trabajo en ambas bodegas. Una vez más, el enólogo Jorge Moreira estuvo a cargo. de evaluar la maduración ideal y definición del tiempo de corte.
