Famosa por su vino de Oporto desde 1751, Ferreira también se dedica a la selección y envejecimiento de aguardientes de vino de alta calidad. Es en nuestras bodegas de Vila Nova de Gaia donde los licores se eligen cuidadosamente y se envejecen en barricas de roble de 270 litros. Para obtener la máxima calidad se realizan catas periódicamente y se introducen varios lotes de diferentes edades y características. Tras elegir el lote final, el brandy se introduce en barricas de 640 litros, donde envejece. El Aguardente Velha Chancella se obtiene a partir de brandies seleccionados (licor obtenido mediante la destilación de vinos blancos) de lotes de alta calidad. Es un aguardiente natural sin aditivos y envejecido durante unos años en barricas de roble portugués en las bodegas Ferreira.

Madera muy fuerte y de buena calidad.
