La Quinta dos Bons Ares está situada en el Douro Superior, en el municipio de Vila Nova de Foz Côa, en un terroir muy específico, donde el suelo granítico y su altitud confieren a las uvas una acidez y un potencial aromático poco usuales en esta región. Además de estas características, la otra particularidad de este vino es la mezcla entre el Nuevo y el Viejo Mundo, entre las variedades tradicionales (Touriga-Nacional y Touriga-Franca) y las internacionales como Cabernet Sauvignon, y entre los lagares de granito y los robots de acero inoxidable. La Casa Ramos Pinto tiene en este vino un ejemplo de tradición innovadora. Un clásico moderno.
