Morgado de Sta. Catherina es un referente de los vinos Arinto de la región de Bucelas, portador de la herencia centenaria de los grandes vinos blancos de la región. La historia de Morgado de Santa Catherina, que incluía Quinta da Romeira, se remonta a 1703, año en que fue constituida, cumpliendo las intenciones de D. Catarina de Bragança, reina consorte de Inglaterra. El vino proviene de la uva Arinto, de la. Viñedos Quinta da Romeira, con vendimia manual. Los mostos fermentaron en depósitos de acero inoxidable y barricas de roble francés. Los porcentajes fueron convenientemente ajustados, con el fin de permitir que la madera se integre bien, sin comprometer la frescura, aromas y sabores característicos de Arinto. Durante los 8 meses de crianza en barricas de roble francés, se logró la integración del vino con la madera, mediante battonage. . Transcurrido este periodo se ejecutó el lote final, envejeciendo en depósitos de acero inoxidable hasta su embotellado.
Amarillo citrino con un ligero tono dorado.
Boca muy amplia, con volumen, en perfecto equilibrio con la acidez atlántica. En boca permanece aromático, enmarcado por la crianza en barrica. Su final es persistente.
Frutos de pulpa amarilla, donde destaca la nectarina madura, y complejidad aromática, conferida por las notas de la crianza en barrica.
