Ubicada en el corazón de la subregión del Cima-Corgo y bañada a lo largo de 1,5 km por las aguas de la margen izquierda del río Duero, la Quinta das Tecedeiras debe su nombre a las monjas que la habitaron y se dedicaron al tejido del lino que en el pasado se cultivaba allí. Los suelos son de esquisto y la exposición norte y este, con las viñas entre los 90 m y los 190 m de altitud. Las uvas maduran bien y con gran concentración de aromas y sabores sin perder su frescura. Cuando se reconvirtieron las viñas, se tuvo el cuidado de dejar algunas parcelas de viña vieja, cuyas uvas integran de forma criteriosa los lotes de todos los vinos tintos DOC o Porto de las Tecedeiras.
